Mystery in Dark Sky Magazine

Nary a day this Monday morning. Nary a day without new books to line the shelves and new author biographies to explore. Today’s Body of Work begins in the wine country of California, where wine, and blood, have been spilled in abundance. Then it’s on to Great Britain, where the Guardian presents its list of can’t-miss beach reading for this summer. Sign and Sight discusses the future of the printed word and the Economist spills the beans on the arrival of rosbifs. Back Stateside there’s a historic look at Vermont in pictures that celebrates the book wagon and the Brooklyn Rail talks Elvis and poetry. It’s being hailed as the most important piece of fiction about race since To Kill a Mockingbird. It’s called The Help and it is reviewed in NPR. And then, then, well, there is no then. This is the end. It’s Monday and we don’t want to tire you. Happy reading, a good week to all. – Kevin Murphy
